Reflection

During this process I learned that we need to use fossil fuels better and conserve them. I also learned that making a blog organizes your research allot more than just keeping it in a folder. When I was researching I showed curiosity , because when I started I knew only some about fossil fuels and that led me to ask alot of questions but know I know alot about fossil fuels. Next time I have an assignment like this I will make a blog so that I have all of my research in a place where I can look at my information. During this process I realzied that we need to save fossil fuels. I think I was also a risk taker, because I did not know how to blog but now I know because I took chances

Propane

Propane is nonrenewable like petorleum. It has been around for millions of years. It was not found until 1912. It is a very important source. Propane is transportable. It is alo a clean fuel. Busess and cars use as/for fuel. It was made from dead sea animals and plants. One year after people discovered it. Us people get propane from natural gas. The supply of propane depends ofn the supply of those energy sources. It is buried underground. You can burn it to make heat for you home.

Questions????????????

Form- What is it like? How do we get it? How do we use it?

Function- How do fossil fuels work? How do we harness this energy? How does this this energy work? How are fossil fuels used?

Change- How is it changing? How has it increased or decreased? Can this energy change in more than one way? Will we run out or not of this energy? How much of this energy do we use a day?

Causation- Why is it the way it is? Why are they called fossil fuels?

Connection- How is it connected to other things? Is it connected to another type of energy?

Perspective- What are the points of view? What do people think about fossil fuels? Is it an important source?

Responsibility- What is our responsibility? How can we use it better? What should we do to sae this type of energy?

Rflection-Why do we need our use this energy?

Petroleum

Before dinosaurs , oceans covered most of the earth. The oceans were filled with small sea animals. Sand covered dead plants, and animals. Heat and weight turned them into petroleum. It is a fossil fuel, because it was made from dead plants and animals. The energy came from the same energy in plants and animals. Their energy came from the sun. Petroleum is a nonrenewable energy source, because the united states can not drill enough oil to meet our needs. We use petroleum every single day. It can pollute the air like many other things. Petroleum is found underground, you can not find it anywhere else. It is mainly a mixture of molecules. It is a raw material. Most of the time people call it oil. It can be yellow or black. Petroleum can be found in reservoirs. It is also called crude oil. The top mfive places to get oil are: Russia, Sandi Arabia, United States, Iran, and China.

Natural gas

Natural gas was formed more than a million years ago. Natural gas is a nonrenewable source. It is called a natural gas, because it was made from the remains of plants and animals. Natural gas is found underground and in the pockets of rocks. Natural gas is used every day in the United States. We use pipelines to get the gasoline. It is clean to burn. That is why we use it in our homes. It is one of our most important and used resources. Gas is burned to make heat. Gas and gasoline are alwayas mistaken, but they are different. When gas is burned it pollutes the air just a little bit. 40% of the gas that there is has already been consumed. Gas is the most important type of cooking oil. Texas is the number on gas producing states.
