Coal i s nonrenewable. There is enough coal to last 300 million years. It is called a fossil fuel, because it was made from plants that were alive before they died. The energy from coal comes from the sun. Alot of coal is in the U.S. People started to us cola in their homes in the 180OS. Power plants works hard so no pollution does not go in the air. Scrubbers clean the air before the smoke goes in the air. We use 93% of the coal that there is. It takes millions of years to make coal. It is a sedimentary rock. Coal is mostly composed of carbons. It is the most important type of fossil fuel.
